P!NK - Try This 2xLP Vinyl Record (Transparent Red Coloured Vinyl)

"Can't Take Me Home" is P!NK's third studio album, originally released in 2003. Debuting in the late '90s with a radio-friendly R&B sound similar to a crop of other young performers, singer/songwriter P!nk quickly developed her own identity, transforming pop songcraft and powerhouse, rock-influenced vocals into a winning combination that kept her in the Top Ten for decades.

"Can't Take Me Home" is arguably one of P!NK's best bodies of work to date, with many of their most popular songs such as "Save My Life" and "Humble Neighborhoods" this album is a must have for any fan of the Pop Rock scene.

"Try This," the third studio album by P!nk, was released on November 11, 2003. This album marked a significant moment in P!nk's career, showcasing her versatility and willingness to experiment with different musical styles. Known for her powerful voice and rebellious persona, P!nk took a slightly different direction with "Try This," incorporating more rock and punk influences compared to her previous pop and R&B-oriented albums.

One of the standout aspects of "Try This" is its collaboration with Tim Armstrong of Rancid, who co-wrote several tracks and brought a punk edge to the album. This partnership resulted in a rawer, more aggressive sound that was a departure from the polished pop of her earlier work. The album's lead single, "Trouble," is a perfect example of this shift. With its gritty guitar riffs and P!nk's signature vocal intensity, "Trouble" quickly became a fan favorite and earned P!nk a Grammy Award for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance in 2004.

Another notable track is "God Is a DJ," which combines elements of dance and rock, showcasing P!nk's ability to blend genres seamlessly. The song's infectious energy and catchy chorus made it a hit in clubs and on the radio, further cementing P!nk's reputation as a dynamic and versatile artist.

Critically, "Try This" received mixed reviews. Some critics praised P!nk's boldness in exploring new musical territories and her collaboration with Armstrong, while others felt the album lacked the cohesion and commercial appeal of her previous work. Despite the mixed critical reception, "Try This" was certified platinum in the United States, proving that P!nk's fan base was more than willing to follow her on this new musical journey.

In terms of cultural significance, "Try This" is often seen as a pivotal moment in P!nk's career. It demonstrated her willingness to take risks and defy industry expectations, traits that have become hallmarks of her enduring success. The album's exploration of themes such as rebellion, self-discovery, and empowerment resonated with listeners and helped solidify P!nk's status as a voice for those who feel like outsiders.

One interesting tidbit about the album's production is that it was recorded in a relatively short period, with P!nk and Armstrong working intensively to capture the raw energy and emotion that define the album. This urgency is palpable in tracks like "Last to Know" and "Humble Neighborhoods," which bristle with a sense of immediacy and authenticity.

Overall, "Try This" is an album that showcases P!nk's fearless approach to music-making. While it may not have achieved the same commercial success as some of her other albums, it remains a beloved part of her discography for its boldness and the way it captures a unique moment in her artistic evolution. For fans of P!nk, "Try This" is a testament to her ability to push boundaries and stay true to herself, no matter where her musical journey takes her.
