Description
A late tram home, drizzle on the window, and Aysanabee’s Here And Now (EP) just clicks into place. The title track is the anchor: a soft, fingerpicked verse that blooms into a clean falsetto lift, with backing vocals slipping in like headlights across wet asphalt. He leans into space and restraint, letting the percussion breathe so every intake between lines feels intentional rather than precious.
Compared with the widescreen sweep of Watin, this EP narrows the frame, pulling you closer to the grain of his voice and the pulse under the chords. The pressing does right by it too; the space opens up around the vocal and the low end sits deeper, so those hushed kicks land without clouding the guitar. Fans of Leif Vollebekk will find a familiar intimacy, but Aysanabee trades ramble for focus, sketching sharper, shorter scenes.
If you’d rather order online, you can buy Aysanabee records online with us. It’s a small set, but it carries weight, the kind of midweek record you reach for when you want the room to feel still and honest. On our Melbourne shelves, it belongs in that front-of-rack row where songcraft wins on the quiet, not with gloss.
Shop online or dig for it in our Preston store while stock lasts.
