Description
The bass slide before the first chorus of One + One tells you what you’re in for. Death From Above 1979’s Is 4 Lovers finds the duo sharpening their hooky chaos into tight, breathless bursts. Sebastien Grainger’s kick and Jesse F. Keeler’s fuzzed-out bass move like a single animal, but the songwriting is slyly pop. Modern Guy hits with a sprinting groove, then swerves into a chant you’ll catch yourself muttering while making coffee. This gold LP gives the riffs more space and the low end sits deeper, so the push-pull between rhythm and melody lands harder. Cymbal transients snap cleanly without sanding off the grit. File it next to Royal Blood and the early-2000s dance-punk shelf that still gets parties moving. If you’d rather order online, you can buy Death From Above 1979 records online with us. Perfect for a Saturday tidy or a late after-work drive across Melbourne, it hits fast, clears out, and invites a replay. Longtime fans will hear a leaner, cheekier band, still feral but more pointed about where the hooks live. Color variant looks ace in the sleeve and suits the duo’s nervy swagger. Available to order online or in our Melbourne record store, your crate needs this one.
