Description
Right before the first chorus of A Tear In Space (Airlock), Dave Bayley takes a half-breath and the kick blooms underneath. Glass Animals’ A Tear In Space (Airlock) lands here as a 7-inch 45RPM single, pairing sleek synth glow with a heart-tug of melody. The chorus swoops open like a hatch, with a subtle vocoder shadow on the falsetto and a sub-bass swell that nudges the room. There’s a tasty snare fill into the last hook, and a little “airlock” whoosh tucked between phrases if you’re listening close. Cut at 45, transients snap cleaner and the low end sits deeper. If you’d rather order online, you can buy Glass Animals records online with us. It belongs right next to Tame Impala and the slick alt-pop of the mid-2020s on your shelf. We’ve spun it at a small Preston house gathering and it lifts the mood without hogging the room. Keep the volume modest or let it bloom; either way this cut holds up to repeat plays. Bayley’s production keeps the edges clean while letting the emotion leak through nicely.
Available to buy online with quick delivery Australia wide, or pick it up in our Melbourne record store.
