The album was produced by Trina Shoemaker, who is known for her work with artists like Sheryl Crow and Queens of the Stone Age. It received significant airplay on Australian radio and helped propel the album to number 2 on the ARIA Albums Chart. The song's introspective lyrics and haunting melody capture the essence of the band's ability to blend thoughtful songwriting with compelling musical arrangements.
Another track that deserves mention is "Three Dimensions," which opens the album with a burst of energy and sets the tone for the rest of the record. The song's driving rhythm and catchy chorus make it an instant favorite for many listeners. Paul Dempsey's distinctive voice and poignant lyrics are on full display here, showcasing his talent as both a vocalist and a songwriter.
"Echolalia" was nominated for several ARIA Music Awards in 2001, including Album of the Year, Best Group, and Best Rock Album.
