Description
A crisp tom fill before the “Burial Suit” chorus finally snaps into focus here, the kind of small rush Mourning Trance trades in. Still Life Still’s second Arts & Crafts album leans darker and hypnotic, threading interlocking guitars with hushed, half-lit vocals. Songs swell patiently, then bloom into wiry grooves that feel suited to the walk home after midnight. Compared with the debut, the hooks sit deeper in the mix and the mood lingers longer. This pressing gives the band room: the low end sits deeper and cymbals decay cleanly. If you'd rather order online, you can buy Still Life Still records online with us. Slide it next to Broken Social Scene and that early-2010s Toronto sprawl makes instant sense on your shelf. The LP suits small living-room speakers or big rooms, keeping the focus on songs rather than sheen. You hear a band older than their years, trading swagger for a careful, late-night pulse. Folks in Melbourne chasing a thoughtful indie record that rewards repeat plays will find plenty to live with here. Even the closer eases out rather than explodes, letting the reverb tail carry you to silence. Grab it online now or drop in to our Melbourne shop and take it home today.
