Description
A quick snare pickup before the second chorus of S'old tells you they’re playing for keeps. 152 finds Taking Back Sunday leaning into big, grown-up hooks without losing the bite. The One rolls out a chiming guitar figure that opens into a huge chorus, while Amphetamine Smiles carries that bittersweet, late-night swagger they do so well. This bone-coloured LP gives the songs room to breathe; space around the harmonies is clearer and the low end sits deeper. Rhythm section feels purposeful without crowding the vocals.
File it next to Jimmy Eat World’s later-era albums, same heart-on-sleeve clarity but with TBS’s scrappier humor. If you’d rather order online, you can buy Taking Back Sunday records online with us. Sequencing flows like a live set, building to a generous back half that rewards repeat spins. It’s the sound of a band comfortable in their skin, still aiming for the rafters. Good company for shared-house kitchens and late drives alike.
