The album was released as part of the "Eagles Box Set" in 2000 and later as a standalone release.
The concert itself was a momentous occasion, not only because it celebrated the turn of the millennium but also because it brought together the classic lineup of Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Joe Walsh, Don Felder, and Timothy B. Schmit. This lineup is often considered the quintessential Eagles ensemble, responsible for some of the band's most iconic hits. The live version captures the haunting guitar solos and evocative lyrics that have made it a staple of classic rock radio. Another highlight is "New Kid in Town," which showcases the band's ability to craft intricate melodies and poignant storytelling.
