Description
Saturday arvo in Melbourne, the thud of “Hitchin’ a Ride” kicks dust off the skirting boards.
Green Day’s Nimrod. XXV (5LP) Numbered Deluxe Edition Silver Vinyl celebrates the 1997 pivot where they stretched beyond bratty punk into widescreen hooks. “Nice Guys Finish Last” still sprints, the bass jabbing under those gang vocals, while “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)” lets the strings swell without schmaltz. “King for a Day” brings the ska brass snap that keeps side flips fun rather than fussy.
Across these slabs, the low end sits deeper and imaging opens up, giving Tre’s tom rolls and Mike’s pick attack more room without sanding off the bite. The silver finish and numbered set make it a keeper, but it’s the way the songs breathe that justifies the shelf space.
If you’d rather order online, you can buy Green Day records online with us. File it alongside The Offspring’s late‑90s peak, but note how Nimrod trades pure blitz for variety and sharper arrangement choices. Rob Cavallo’s pop instincts and the band’s restlessness make this a time capsule that still throws elbows in the right places.
Numbered, expanded, and faithful to the original spark, it’s an easy upgrade for lifers and a smart entry point for new ears. Perfect for anyone building a record collection, buy online or in store today.
