The lyrics, exploring themes of love and longing, are delivered with a sense of urgency by lead vocalist Iva Davies, whose distinctive voice adds depth and emotion to the songs.

One of the standout tracks on the album is the iconic "Electric Blue." The ethereal synthesizers and Davies' introspective lyrics create a sense of introspection and introspection, making it a standout moment on the album.

Throughout the album, Icehouse demonstrates their versatility by incorporating different musical elements. "Nothing Too Serious" combines a driving rhythm section with catchy synth hooks, while "Heartbreak Kid" showcases a more rock-oriented sound with its energetic guitar riffs. These diverse musical influences add depth and variety to the album, keeping the listener engaged from start to finish.

Lyrically, "Man Of Colours" delves into themes of love, loss, and self-reflection. Davies' introspective and poetic lyrics provide a glimpse into his personal experiences and emotions. Tracks like "Cross The Border" and "The Kingdom" explore the complexities of relationships and the search for meaning in life, while "Dusty Pages" delves into the nostalgia and longing for the past.

The production on "Man Of Colours" is top-notch, thanks to the collaboration between Iva Davies and producer David Lord. The use of synthesizers and electronic elements is tastefully done, adding a modern touch to the overall sound without overshadowing the band's organic instrumentation.
