Description
Cut from Pearl Jam’s 2024 sessions with producer Andrew Watt, this 45RPM 7" puts Dark Matter right up front. Matt Cameron’s kick is tight and insistent, Stone’s downstrokes grind, and Vedder snaps out a melody that bites harder than you might expect this deep into their run. The guitar break lands with classic McCready sting, then the band drops into a half-time shove before the last chorus—simple move, big payoff.
As a 45, the transients pop harder and the low end sits deeper, so Jeff Ament’s bass actually anchors the riff instead of smearing under it. Imaging is tidy too, giving the twin guitars room to snarl without turning to fuzz soup on Melbourne systems. If you file your singles, this belongs right next to later-era Soundgarden: heavier than nostalgia, leaner than grunge cosplay.
Jackets and labels are cleanly executed, and the short format suits the track’s punch. If you’d rather order online, you can buy Pearl Jam records online with us. Spin this when you want three-and-a-half minutes of focused, modern Pearl Jam that still nods to Vs.-era urgency.
It’s a smart pickup for anyone who wants the new material in its most immediate form and a quick way to hear how the current lineup locks in under Watt’s steer.
