Description
The nervous hiss of Stewart Copeland’s hi-hat in Synchronicity II snaps like a camera shutter. It’s a neat tell for Synchronicity, The Police’s most meticulous record with Hugh Padgham at the desk. This Yellow/Red 2LP edition gives the songs room to breathe; space opens up and the low end sits deeper. Every Breath You Take arrives spare and stalking, Andy Summers’ guitar trails hanging in clear air. Wrapped Around Your Finger swirls with percussion and keys without losing the intimate vocal focus. King of Pain balances bright chorus lift and a quietly nagging lyric that still bites.
On a Melbourne shelf it belongs beside early 80s art-pop, think Talking Heads, for studio-sculpted clarity and nervy hooks. If you’d rather order online, you can buy The Police records online with us. Synchronicity I still sprints, all edges and adrenaline, yet leaves space around the vocal. Tea in the Sahara fades like a mirage, the trio playing with restraint rare in big 80s pop. Should your Police collection stop at the singles, this pressing makes the album’s deeper cuts feel essential.
Order online now or swing past our Preston shop to pick it up.
