Description
Tracked in 1993 with a large orchestra under John Debney’s baton, this score turns Salem into a playground of tiptoeing woodwinds and mischievous choir. On Hocus Pocus (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), the Main Title introduces the cat-like strings that keep sneaking back, while Sarah’s Theme (Come Little Children) floats in like a too-sweet lullaby. Graveyard swings from galloping percussion to gleeful frights, a neat snapshot of Debney’s playful menace. This 2LP Blue Vinyl pressing gives the arrangements breathing room, and the imaging spreads the orchestra so flutes, harps and brass don’t crowd each other. If you’d rather order online, you can buy John Debney records online with us. The low end sits deeper too, which helps the broomstick swerves hit with a little more weight. File it next to Danny Elfman for the spooky-sparkly end of the orchestral shelf, but Debney leans brighter and more storybook. Perfect for October gatherings or a late tidy when you want harmless chills. We like how the cues segue cleanly across the side breaks, avoiding the mid-scare fade-outs that can plague shorter pressings. Available online now or in our Melbourne shop, an easy pick for any John Debney fan.
