Description

The sleepover spins up nicely when Krystal Harris’ Supergirl hits and the chorus lifts the room. This reissue of Various Artists’ The Princess Diaries Original Soundtrack gathers the early 2000s teen-pop sparkle you remember without the CD glare. Myra’s Miracles Happen still does the big finale goosebump, while BBMak’s Miss You More adds breezy guitars between the singalongs. Pressed across 2LP in clear with blue splatter, it gives the songs some breathing room. Low end sits deeper and imaging opens up, so those stacked harmonies feel more three dimensional than you remember. Artwork is crisp and bright too, a nice match for the film’s pastel palette. File it next to Mandy Moore era pop and the turn-of-the-millennium Disney soundtracks that defined a few school discos. If you’d rather order online, you can buy The Princess Diaries Original Soundtrack records online with us. Great for a Saturday tidy or a gentle party starter, it is light, catchy and very replayable. Fans who grew up with the film will smile at the details, and newcomers get a quick primer in the bubblegum end of 2001. Sequencing moves from pep to slow dance without a skip. Add it to your collection today, available online or in our Melbourne record store.
