The album opens with "Ain't Nobody," a track originally recorded with Rufus in 1983. Written by the legendary songwriting duo Ashford & Simpson, the song highlights Khan's vocal prowess and her ability to convey strength and confidence. The infectious chorus and upbeat tempo make it a feel-good track that remains a staple in her repertoire.
"Through the Fire," a ballad from her 1984 album "I Feel for You," is another highlight of the compilation. This song showcases Khan's softer, more vulnerable side, with her voice soaring over a lush arrangement of keyboards and strings. The emotional depth and sincerity in her performance make it one of her most beloved songs.
The album also includes "I Feel for You," a groundbreaking track that features a rap by Melle Mel and was one of the first songs to successfully integrate hip-hop elements into mainstream R&B. Its innovative production and catchy hook make it a standout track that still sounds fresh today.
